To see God means you must be in sound sleep and you must be awake that you are in sound sleep. This is Nirvikalpa Samadhi. Nirvikalpa Samadhi state means you must be in sound sleep and yet awake. For example, you have body, you have life, you have mouth, you have eyes, you have ears, and yet you can’t move, you can’t see, you can’t hear etc. This happens in sound sleep state. This is the state to be arrived at in the awake concious state. Awake & in sound sleep i.e. alive & dead at the same time. A dead man cannot not see, feel, hear, smell etc. although he has eyes, ears, nose etc. (why? because the mind is not there as in sound sleep!) because there is no life (mind,

). Now life there must be (as in the concious awake state) and yet he (i.e. the mind) should not see, hear, smell, etc. a completely alive and yet dead being. Mind completely stopped in the concious state means sound sleep in the awake state. But mind cannot stop Itself; there must be another, a stronger another mind to stop It, and the stronger mind is the Sadguru. Sleep is our state. In full sleep we are in our unlimited state. We come to the limited state in the waking state. In full sleep we have no time, no space, no shape, no next, no previous, so no limit. We wake up then some name gets turned on. His body, his limited possessions etc. started. So, the limit came. Full sleep is God, and wakefulness is not the same; He is God in deep sleep (but he is not aware of it) and is bound in awakening (if he experiences full sleep in the waking state, he realizes that he is God). For example:- A person wears a designated gown and sits on a designated court chair, then he is a judge, and when he walks around the house in his sadra, then he is a common man. Deep sleep, dream and wakefulness are the three states (of the Infinite Mind); In the state of full sleep, you are God, and in dream and waking state you are servant. So in the state of sleep (stopped mind) you are God. (Like wearing a gown and sitting on a seat that you are a judge). Full sleep is not God, but it is God’s condition. So now think that you are enjoying the same divinity, and you are also enjoying servitude and yet you are not aware of it. Now you will understand that it is true what Satpurusha said that God has no sorrow, no happiness, no birth, no death, no form, no color, no shape. In full sleep (in the state of God) do you have any happiness or sorrow? Shape, color, form or anything? But in dreams or in waking life, you experience pain, happiness, color and anger, and you get shape, body, etc. God is you but you have no experience, no understanding, no knowledge of Him. You must die to the experience of life and death which can happen in a second with Sadguru’s grace.

“Aan ke khaak raa baa nazar shimiyaa konad
aaya shavad ke gushe cheshmi be maa konad?”
“One who transforms dirt into gold with one glance,
is it possible that He would throw a glance in our direction from the corner of His eye?”

Then sleep, dream, wakefulness became the states of God. In full sleep there is nothing,
